In partnership with the State of Colorado and several communities across the state, Brothers Redevelopment administers both mortgage and rental assistance to households who have been economically impacted by COVID-19.
If you live outside of Denver County and are seeking mortgage or rental assistance through the state’s Emergency Homeowner Assistance Program (EHAP), you must complete an application that is available on the state’s website. Click the button below to determine your eligibility and get started.
If you are a resident of Denver County who is seeking rental assistance through the City of Denver’s Temporary Rental and Utility Assistance program, or TRUA, please call 1-844-926-6632 to speak to a housing navigator to determine your eligibility and start the process.
Due to high demand for financial assistance among Denver residents, please note that it may take up to 6 to 8 weeks, if not longer, for approval from the time all requested documents are submitted.
Please be aware that there is a CDC Eviction Moratorium currently in effect. This order halts residential evictions of covered persons for nonpayment of rent. It is set to expire on March 31, 2021, unless extended, modified or rescinded. If your Landlord or Property Manager has provided you with a Rent Demand (also known as a Notice to Quit), it is imperative that you complete the “EVICTION DECLARATION FORM” (provided in both English and Spanish here) and serve a copy to your landlord.
*If you have received a Rent Demand (or Notice to Quit), please make sure you attach it to your email and label your email as: “RENT DEMAND – FIRST NAME.LAST NAME”. If you sent your application in before sending the demand, you’ll need to also let us know the date the application was sent. Please include that in your subject line as well.
