As the demand for affordable housing continues to surge nationwide, organizations like Brothers Property Management are stepping up to confront the challenge head-on.

We are excited to announce that Brothers Property Management has been awarded property management contracts to manage three key properties: The Villas at Wadsworth Station in Lakewood, and both Santa Fe Apartments and Dahlia Street Apartments in Denver. Together, these communities provide a total of 152 affordable housing units, offering much-needed relief to families grappling with housing insecurity.

The Villas at Wadsworth Station in Lakewood offers 100 affordable housing units for families.
Dahlia Street Apartments is an affordable housing community in Denver, offering 36-units to families.
Santa Fe Apartments in Denver is an affordable housing community that contains 16-units.

With nearly four decades of experience, Brothers Property Management has been a stalwart provider of property management services, initially catering to properties owned by Brothers Redevelopment. Expanding into third-party management in 2019, the organization has since grown its portfolio to encompass 28 affordable housing properties, totaling 1,338 units. These properties serve diverse populations, including low-income individuals, families, older adults, individuals with disabilities, and those experiencing homelessness, across various regions of Colorado.

Looking to the future, Brothers Property Management is poised to continue its impactful work. The organization will extend its services to SP Crossing, an upcoming affordable housing community slated to open its doors in Commerce City in 2025. Additionally, it will manage Eagle Meadow Homes, an affordable housing development in Aurora set to launch this summer.

Brothers Redevelopment was thrilled to welcome Denver City Councilwoman Amanda P. Sandoval to Sheridan Glen Senior Apartments where she met with some of the affordable housing community’s tenants.

Sandoval visited Sheridan Glen, one of Brothers Redevelopment’s 24 affordable housing communities, on Aug. 30 where she listened to our residents’ concerns about a bus stop near the property, walkability in the surrounding area, and more. The councilwoman’s visit was made possible thanks to one of our resident service coordinators who scheduled the meeting after hearing from tenants about their fears when using the nearby bus stop.

“It was an honor to welcome Councilwoman Sandoval to Sheridan Glen. Her genuine engagement and compassionate interaction with our residents shows the positive impact of community leadership,” said Brothers Redevelopment President Jeff Martinez.

Resource navigation is only a step away for low-income older adults, families, and others at seven Brothers Property Management affordable housing communities.

At our Aurora, Westminster, Denver, and Edgewater communities, Brothers Property Management employs resident service coordinators who help our tenants access educational and supportive services that can help them in achieving their housing and service needs. Those services can include getting access to food, transportation, health care, federal and state benefits, clothing, and other necessities that help our residents thrive.

So far this year, our resident service coordinators have provided our tenants with $110,282 in cost savings — meaning our tenants received monthly benefits or services that amounted to $110,282.

Brothers Redevelopment’s Aging in Place Program also offers similar services to the general community at no charge. The program connects older adults to government benefits and resources our clients are entitled to and provided $1.5 million in cost savings last year.

SPARKwest in Boulder.

Brothers Property Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of Brothers Redevelopment, is pleased to announce that it was awarded new property management contracts to manage Alameda View Apartments and SPARKwest.

Alameda View Apartments — located at 15501 E. Alameda Parkway in Aurora — is a 116-unit, Low Income Housing Tax Credit family community. Meanwhile, SPARKwest in Boulder at 3215 Bluff St. holds 45 units of permanent affordable housing.

Over the past year, Brothers Property Management’s portfolio has grown to offer nearly 1,000 affordable units to families, youth experiencing homelessness, and disabled residents in Denver, Aurora, Westminster, Erie, and Boulder.

“Brothers Property Management is pleased to announce it has been awarded contracts to manage Alameda View Apartments and SPARKwest. Since 1987, Brothers Property Management has provided property management services to properties owned by Brothers Redevelopment. In 2019, the agency branched into third party management and currently provides property management services to numerous clients — including Attention Homes in Boulder — a 48-unit housing complex for homeless youth between the ages of 18-24.
