Built by Community: Brothers Redevelopment Marks 55 Years of Housing Impact

Home » Built by Community: Brothers Redevelopment Marks 55 Years of Housing Impact

As we step into 2026, Brothers Redevelopment is celebrating a historic milestone — 55 years of serving Colorado as a trusted nonprofit, providing housing solutions and services for low-income households, older adults, people with disabilities, and Coloradans working toward stable, secure housing.

And look at all that we’ve accomplished together.

For decades, we’ve come together as a community — neighbors helping neighbors — restoring color and care to thousands of homes owned by older adults and people with disabilities. We’ve broken ground and built affordable housing communities alongside partners who share a vision of housing stability for all. We’ve completed crucial home repairs and accessibility modifications, allowing older adult community members to remain in their homes and live independently for as long as possible. And so much more.

Brothers Redevelopment was built by, and for, community.  After 55 years, we remain a trusted, reliable housing nonprofit that has touched the lives of thousands of Coloradans.

While our past is worthy of reflection and celebration, we’re focused on the future — and the positive impact we can continue to make on housing, alongside our community.

Brothers Redevelopment recently took a significant step forward in expanding our housing services in Aurora through our merger with Community Housing Partners — another housing organization dedicated to serving the Aurora community.

Through the merger, Brothers Redevelopment has assumed management of CHP’s operations and assets, expanding access to affordable housing and strengthening long-term stability for Aurora families. Brothers Property Management, the organization’s exclusive management agent, continues to oversee CHP’s portfolio of three affordable housing communities in Aurora, totaling 183 affordable apartments for low-income families.

As we celebrate our 55th year, Built by Community will be our guiding theme — a reminder that every home repaired, every family housed, and every life stabilized is made possible by people who believe in showing up for one another. Throughout the year, we’ll be sharing stories, milestones, and our impact across our social channels highlighting what 55 years of community-powered housing looks like.

To mark this milestone and help meet growing needs across Colorado, Brothers Redevelopment has set an ambitious goal to raise $200,000 in 2026 to support communities facing especially high housing challenges. Thanks to the generosity of a few long-time supporters, $55,000 has already been contributed toward this goal in honor of our 55th anniversary — helping kickstart this next chapter of impact.

As we look ahead, we invite you to be part of what’s next. Your support helps ensure that together, we can continue expanding housing stability, safety, and opportunity for Coloradans across the state.
