Brothers Redevelopment’s Home Modification and Repair Program is continuing its growth across the Front Range and has now reached the Town of Erie.

On Feb. 25, the Erie Town Council approved a contract between the Town of Erie and Brothers Redevelopment to provide essential modifications and repairs for 10 mobile and manufactured homes in the area. Funding for these projects comes from a $167,000 Weld County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).

Through this program, Brothers Redevelopment will focus on addressing health and safety concerns while making critical construction upgrades to protect homeowners from weather-related damage. Services available to Erie residents include:

  • Minor electrical, plumbing, and sewer repairs, as well as trip and fall hazard mitigation.
  • Installation of wheelchair ramps, stairlifts, grab bars, and stair and porch railings.
  • Repairs and replacements for furnaces, water heaters, and boiler systems.
  • Roof, gutter, soffit, fascia, siding, and window repairs and replacements.

“We’re excited to bring our Home Modification and Repair Program to Erie and help residents make critical improvements to their homes. These repairs aren’t just about fixing what’s broken—they’re about ensuring homeowners can live safely and comfortably for years to come,” said Brothers Redevelopment Home Modification and Repair Department Director Jason McCullough. “Thanks to the Town of Erie and Weld County’s support, we’re able to provide much-needed assistance to those who need it most.”

This project builds on Brothers Redevelopment’s ongoing efforts to support affordable housing in Weld County and beyond. In addition to home repairs and modifications, the nonprofit provides housing-related services to the county like Homebuyer Education Courses, Eviction Prevention Legal Workshops, Affordable Housing Search Workshops, and more.

Brothers Redevelopment’s Home Modification and Repair Program is the largest of its kind in Colorado. The program serves communities across the Front Range, including Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, El Paso, Jefferson, Larimer, and Weld counties.
